Tinnitus

Tinnitus is the thought of sound in your ear or head that isn�t caused by an outside source. There are many different circumstances that can cause tinnitus and sometimes it can occur for no known explanation.

There are some simple things you can test yourself that may help control your symptoms of ringing in the ears and improve your standard of living.

  • Take physical exercise and take the time to relax.
  • Keep a low level of backdrop noise, such as an opened window, a fan or leave the radio on.
  • Listen to recorded relaxation seems, such as rain, the water or bird track. If you�re using them at night and don�t want to disturb your partner, try an MP3 player with pillow speakers.
  • Reducing your exposure to loud noise, as this can make your tinnitus worse and may lead to hearing damage.

Living with tinnitus
