New Treatment For Tinnitus
Tinnitus
Tinnitus is the thought of sound in your ears or head that isnt caused by a third party source. There are many different situations that can cause tinnitus and quite often it can occur for no known cause.
Mild tinnitus is common, affecting about one out of 10 people. There are two types of tinnitus.
Subjective tinnitus - sounds can only be observed by you. Its the most frequent type of tinnitus which is usually linked to troubles affecting your hearing (auditory) system.
Target tinnitus - noises can be heard by you or your GP when he or she listens using a stethoscope placed in close proximity to your ear. This kind of tinnitus is less frequent and is usually the result of a physical problem which produces sound in or near the ear. For example, problems with narrowing of your own blood vessels.
